The UK Escape Room Awards is an independent awards programme celebrating excellence in the UK escape room industry. The UK Escape Room Awards portal at portal.ukescaperoomawards.org is operated by the UK Escape Room Awards team.
By registering for and using the UK Escape Room Awards portal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the portal.
Must be 18+, have personally played at least 50 unique UK escape rooms, and have personally played any room nominated or voted for. Must declare commercial affiliations and provide accurate registration information. UKERA may reject or remove accounts suspected of fraud, duplication, or misleading activity.
Nominees and voters must have personally played any room they nominate or vote for. Nominations and votes submitted on behalf of rooms or companies you are affiliated with are not permitted and will be removed.
The UK Escape Room Awards reserves the right to disqualify nominations or votes that appear to be fraudulent, coordinated, or in breach of these terms. All decisions by the UK Escape Room Awards team are final.
You must not share your nominations or votes publicly, or with venues or companies, and must not coordinate voting with other participants. Violations may result in affected votes being removed, suspension from future awards cycles, or permanent exclusion in serious or repeated cases. In egregious cases involving coordinated manipulation, the matter may be made public.
You must declare any relationship that could reasonably be considered a conflict of interest, including: ownership or co-ownership of a venue; current or former (within the past 5 years) game master, front-of-house, management, or operations staff; set design, prop building, or puzzle design work; investment or financial stake; or an immediate family member holding any of the above. Users cannot nominate or vote for affiliated companies' rooms. If unsure whether a relationship counts, declare it and we will advise.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

We use this data solely to operate the UK Escape Room Awards programme. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.
Your email address is used to send you transactional emails related to your account and participation in the UK Escape Room Awards (e.g. application confirmation, approval notification, nomination confirmation). You may also receive broadcast emails when key phases open (nominations, voting). You can contact us to opt out of broadcast emails.
We use Supabase to store data securely and Resend to send emails. Both services are GDPR-compliant. Data is stored within the EU/EEA.

The UK Escape Room Awards portal uses essential cookies only. Specifically, a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. Continued use of the portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
